Restoration crews are onsite at the hospital and working to thoroughly clean and sanitize the hospital. Hospital officials say they have been, and will remain in contact with the State of Illinois and Illinois Department of Public Health to develop a timeline for reopening. At this time they do not have a definitive date of reopening. Any further updates about when the hospital will reopen will be relayed via local media, social media and MyChart.
The hospital has contacted all the patients who were transported out of Ferrell Hospital to other local facilities or their homes and they are doing well.
Patients who have upcoming appointments or procedures at Ferrell Hospital and Ferrell Hospital Family Practice will be notified.
