CARMI – A Grayville man is lodged in the White County Jail on multiple charges following a traffic stop at County Road 900 East at 1350 North near Carmi Thursday.

Carmi Police say they tried to stop 30-year-old James C. McFarland. He finally stopped and was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Buprenorphine Hydrochloride strips), Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, Driving While License Revoked, Fleeing and Attempted to Elude Police, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needles, Possession of Ammunition with a FOID Card and was cited for no insurance.
