CARMI – The White County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man found dead in an overturned truck in the Wabash River one mile south of the New Harmony Bridge Friday morning.

Sheriff Jordan Weiss says it is Robert Duvall of Crossville. The sheriff says no foul play is suspected. The White County Coroner’s office has not determined how Duvall died at this time, but an autopsy will be scheduled.

Deputies responded to the scene at 9:45 a.m. Friday and called in divers from Shawneetown and IDNR Conservation Police to see if someone was in the truck. Divers entered the water and found Duvall dead inside the truck. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the water.
