METROPOLIS – A Harrisburg woman wanted on a Saline County warrant was arrested Saturday in Metropolis.

According to Metropolis Police, 66-year-old Sandra L. Schauer was stopped in the Thrive parking lot for following too closely. Police checked her information and learned the vehicle’s registration was suspended for mandatory insurance. They also learned Schauer was wanted on a warrant in Saline County for failing to appear for operation of a vehicle with suspended registration. Schauer was arrested and charged. She was also charged with the warrant and lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
