REND LAKE – As part of the ongoing Illinois 154 Rend Lake Bridge Replacement Project, portions of the lake under the Illinois 154 bridge will be closed to all boat traffic Monday, according to the Rend Lake Project Office/Visitor Center. 

The project includes improving roadway conditions, replacing the bridge, and construction of a 10 foot-wide concrete multi-use path along Illinois 154 from Fitzgerrell Park Drive to Larry Foster Parkway – adding an integral connection to the existing Rend Lake Bike Trail. 

Updates will be provided when the area reopens to boat traffic.
