CARMI – Carmi residents are being asked to not flush baby wipes, adult wipes, shop towels, paper towels, etc. into the sewer system.

Officials have noticed over the last few months a large increase of these products in the sewer lines. These products can create blockages which may be costly to the home owner and the city to clear from the sewer system.
