MARION – A man was recently arrested in connection with a reported disturbance at a home on Stanley Lane in Marion.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, around 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, the sheriff’s office responded to the home and learned from the reporting party that the suspect, later identified as Jordan J. Travelstead, was destroying a home and swinging a baseball bat at a family member.
Upon arrival, Travelstead appeared at the door holding a 12 inch ball peen hammer in his right hand which was extended above his head.
When approached by Deputies Travelstead yelled, “Get the @$)& off my property or I’m going to bash you in the head.”
Travelstead then began walking toward a room in the home where he is known from numerous previous law enforcement contacts to have firearms, machetes, and other weapons.
